Hi, Michelle, welcome to my blog! I’m very excited to ask you a few questions today!
- What was your favorite part of writing The Blood of the Hydra?
My favorite part was the adventure! They get to journey to magical islands in Greece, and I had a lot of fun with it. I put a lot of humor into the book, and I’m hoping that it translates well with my readers! (But there are serious scenes in the book as well, and I didn’t make light of them with humor. I like to think that the humor is only in the places where it belongs.)
- What do you hope the readers take away from our heroine, Nicole?
Nicole is very driven by her sense of loyalty—to her family, to her friends, and now to doing everything she can to make sure humanity isn’t destroyed by the Titans. But at the same time, she wants to save everyone, and unfortunately that isn’t always possible, which is something that is tested for her in Elementals 2: The Blood of the Hydra.
- Out of any of your characters, who would most likely be your best friend in real life, and why?
Probably Kate, because she loves reading and learning J
- Out of any of your characters, who would you want to date, and why?
Honestly, neither of the two main male characters in Elementals are “my type.” They’re both very “in the moment,” action-oriented, sword-wielding guys, and I tend to be interested in people who are more theoretical, creative, out of the box thinkers. (Basically, these are two guys fighting on the front lines. I would be more likely to be interested in a guy working on behind the scenes intelligence.) I would probably like a male version of Kate J
- What was your most anticipated book release of 2016?
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare and The Crown by Kiera Cass.
